Arrive at Zambia’s Lusaka Airport, where you will be met by our representative who will have the domestic air tickets and assist with connecting you to the safari flight to South Luangwa. Arrive at Mfuwe airport and transfer to the MFUWE LODGE where you spend the next 2 nights - this afternoon you are already on a game viewing activity in the South Luangwa National Park - one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world - The lush, beautiful riverine vegetation of South Luangwa Park attracts some of the greatest wildlife concentrations in Africa - Awake early in the morning for the game viewing activity and breakfast. Spend some time relaxing at the lodge around the pool before the afternoon game viewing activity.
Then transfer to a luxury bush camp BILIMUNGWE CAMP still in the South Luangwa Park and the next 2 days will be filled with combined walking and driving safaris, tailored to your individual needs. There will also be ample time to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of the Zambian bush.
From here fly to the Lower Zambezi and KASAKA RIVER LODGE situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, here you will spend 2 nights - The Lower Zambezi Park on the banks of the Zambezi river is one of the most beautiful & rewarding safari destinations in Zambia - Enjoy the afternoon activity followed by dinner at the camp. This luxury tented camp nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River, 4 kilometers from the Lower Zambezi National Park. The river extends the length of the property and there are breathtaking views over the water with sightings of buffalo, elephant, hippo and crocodile. Game activities include morning and evening game drives as well as river safaris.
Farewell to this stage of your journey and then it’s back to Lusaka and onward to Livingstone for your final 2 nights in Zambia close to the famous Victoria Falls - named by Dr. David Livingstone for his queen, Victoria, in November 1855, and well known to the indigenous peoples of Southern Africa as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders) you transfer 24 miles upstream from the Falls to the luxurious Islands of Siankaba River Lodge situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River included here are all meals, local drinks & house wines, laundry, mokoro (tribal dug out canoe) trips, cultural village & school walks – time enough to relax before departing on the sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. We have also included a guided tour of the Falls. There is ample leisure time – you could take an optional tour into the town or to a local village or simply relax at the Lodge. For the more adventurous there are numerous river products available as well as bunji-jumping, elephant safaris, helicopter or microlight trips to name a few.
Your final day we transfer you to Livingstone airport where you connect with the flight out.

When to go : Seasonal changes are very pronounced in Luangwa. The dry season begins in April and intensifies through to October, the hottest month when game concentrations are at their height. Warm sunny days and chilly nights typify the dry winter months of May to August. The rains begin in November as the leaves turn green, and the dry bleak terrain becomes a lush jungle. The rainy season lasts up until the end of March and the migrant birds arrive in droves. Each lodge stays open for as long as access is possible, depending on its location in the area.
